Staff who run the platform day to day
Administrator walkthrough
The administrator sees every operations area: people, programs, applications, payments, reviews, and the audit trail. The job is to keep records accurate and to grant other staff only the access their work needs.
Everything on this page is sample teaching data. The people, organizations, cohorts, and results shown here are invented. Nothing you do here changes a real record, sends a message, or takes a payment.
Start here
Open the operations home, read the current counts, and confirm you can explain where each number comes from before you change anything.

Walkthrough
1.Open the operations home.
You should see: Counts for open applications, cohorts in flight, reviews waiting, and messages drafted.
2.Open a contact record from the contacts list.
You should see: One person, their source, their history, and every program touchpoint on a single page.
3.Open people and access, then look at a staff member with one role.
You should see: A preview of exactly which sections that role reveals, before you save anything.
4.Grant a role to a colleague in this demo.
You should see: A confirmation and a line in the audit trail. In the live system this is the only supported way to give access.
5.Open the audit trail.
You should see: The change you just previewed, with your name, the role granted, and the time.

| Name | Role | Sees | Cannot do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ama Serwaa (sample) | Admissions specialist | Applications, decisions, messages | Change pricing or issue credentials |

What this role must not do
- Give the narrowest role that lets someone do their job. Access is added one role at a time, never in bulk.
- Never edit the audit trail or remove a record to tidy a mistake. Correct forward and leave the history readable.
- Payments, enrollment, and workspace activation are separate steps on purpose. A payment alone never opens a workspace.
